What an extraordinary album. The level of improvisation is on par with the best I've heard in Jazz. I think Duane Allman would have fit in perfectly with Miles Davis - the improv's are that good. I listened to the stereo layer on this CD and compared it with the Columbia Red Seal disk that I already owned. I couldn't distinguish the sound of the two from each other - identical I suppose. This album is a great jazz-fusion album. It's as psychedelic as anything you'd find from the late 60's to the early 70's. Extraordinary - in multi-channel SACD. I'll get to that later. The stereo sound was very good, with each instrument clearly located from left to right.
