I had a good price for the whole set of 8 Hancock Japanese SACD's so I got this one even though I already had the regular Columbia SACD. This SACD seems to be just a new Japanese release of the Columbia CS 65123 already posted on this website but hybrid instead of Single layer.

Solid performance of the Jazz Messengers. Most tracks are uptempo bop and the playing is very skillful. Hubbard on trumpet is nineteen and exuberant.
