There were also some positives as well. Heck, it's a Steve Wilson 5.1 remix.....what's NOT to like? One poster said the stereo remix was MONO sounding and the codec info on the rear was incorrect......no BIG deal, Brett.

Mine's en route.

You're probably right.

Any thoughts on the Surround Master processor?

"...Am currently spinning The Best of Bread (AF 4.0 mch SACD) and to my ears it sounds better than Best of The Guess Who. Sonically superb. I know it's too "white" bread for my Silicon Valley compadre but GREAT to FINALLY have it on SACD in 4.0.

AF nailed this one..."

Couldn't agree more. I used to HATE Bread, but this has made me completely reassess. I don't know if it's a late in life hormone problem but I love the soft rock vibe of this. The musicianship is impeccable.

There was so much great music at the time that Bread was easily lost in the shuffle. Even the "rockers" on this album ROCK and AF's superb remastering allows every nuance of the band to be heard in utmost fidelity.

I just e~mailed Marshall Blonstein @ Audio Fidelity to personally thank him for the absolutely stellar job he and his associates have performed getting these 4.0/5.1 SACD titles to market and further commented on how expeditiously they are coming......unlike MoFi/AP which take eons to release stereo only SACDs.

Considering we were promised "miracles" from Universal's BD~A launch and no evidence yet of Warner and Sony's BD~A launches, Audio Fidelity is singlehandedly cornering this much neglected market.

And I hope "interested" posters on this site, as I know the legions of fans over at QuadraphonicQuad Forum, will continue to reward Audio Fidelity's LEAD by purchasing these discs as a 'kudo' to a company who only a scant few months ago had no interest, whatsoever, in releasing multichannel hi res SACDs.

Am still holding onto the possibility that Analogue Productions and ESPECIALLY MoFi will "begin to see the light!" And, please: NO comments on MoFi's "purist" approach or vinyl sensibilities!

AMEN

Brett, many thanks.....but I was expecting You're a sexy motherfu**er by Prince ;-)!

Received a reply from Marshall Blonstein (CEO Audio Fidelity) today: "Thank you so much for taking the time to share with us your thoughts and kind words. Comments like yours really do spark us on. This is a business for us but also a labor of love, so when we hear we are on the right track it's very encouraging. Thanks my friend."

BTW, Loved Become Ocean but NOT so thrilled with Inukuit........Oh well, we took a chance. Can't bat 1000 all the time, Brett.

Do I dare order mch Bread? I can't even say I hated Bread, just wouldn't even go there, but maybe I can be, oh just the thought is cringing.

That reply is worth repeating! It's encouraging for ME to hear.

I like both pieces by JLA. But, I feel Inuksuit needs to be performed and experienced live each time. It's a very organic piece. Become Ocean is a piece more in the modern symphonic/orchestral tradition. It works better as a recording for repeat listening. It's a pity those weren't released on Bluray. Some of the visuals are very nice and deserve stunning video quality.

Now listening to Slipknot - Antennas to Hell in DPLII. Fantastic!!!

I wonder if AF would give us some Slipknot in real hirez-surround. Now that would be a miracle }:-)

Or... How about Prince - Come reworked in hirez 5.1 surround? https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=gGjcI4mtrCU
That would be orgasmic in surround. :-D

While waiting for those miracles... Enjoy a tribute to Chaka Khan with Prince, Stevie, India...
