Not so long ago Zeus came up with a list of excellent recordings still available. This inspires me to draw up a list of excellent music still not available on SACD. I’m sure everyone has its own ideas but these are some of mine:

SOLO CONCERTI

Reinhold Gliere: harp concerto (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWOZN0b4Vmw);

William Schuman: Song of Orpheus for cello and orchestra (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E3FdppWLMJQ);

Walter Piston: violin concerto # 1 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_td9gP4jFc);

Bela Bartok: viola concerto (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mmyMI5nRFU8) sorry for advertising;

Wilhelm Stenhammar : piano concerto # 2 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QbjU12hkTBw);

Giuseppe Martucci: piano concerto # 1 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xqUj0bO-npM);

CHAMBER

Gabriel Fauré: Piano Quartet 1&2 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dj81obFhSpc);
(and piano quintet 1&2)

Giuseppe Martucci (again!): Piano Quintet (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xRgYxpDmrn4);

Felix Mendelssohn: Violin Sonatas 1&2 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wG3d8RiOho).

I notice Eric (commonly spelled Erik) Satie is almost not represented on SA-CD. Too bad.
I would also love to see more of the organ played by Bolliger on SA-CD. His excellent label Sinus managed to release his latest efforts on SA-CD, but many of them are still available on RBCD only. At least he had the magnificent Pachelbel: Organ works - Bolliger remastered.

Karajan conducting Mascagni, Cavalleria Rusticana and Leoncavallo, Pagliacci
Surprised neither of these Operas are available on SACD.

I would much like to see the Prokofiev Symphony #7 on SACD. Also re-appearance of the Grieg Violin and Piano Sonatas. Then too Bohuslav Martinu wrote a couple of wonderful 'cello concerti.

I believe we'll be getting a Prokofiev 7 from BIS (without the "happy ending", I hope) in due course. Have you heard the recent BIS recording of the Martinu cello sonatas? It's staggeringly good in every respect.

I see we share an interest in Czech music as well as Siouxsie and the Banshees.

Having said that, I did sell my old Supraphon recording of Nikotina last year because I found the music a bit (dare I say it?) dull! Despite his preoccupation with youth as a theme, Novak became rather conservative in his old age—unlike Janacek.

Bingo! But I think its ROCK not Classical.
There is very great Classical music on SACD.
