I am not sure if sa-cd is alive and kicking, and have even more doubts hi-res downloads are looming. The future belongs to streaming music. I will wait for it to arrive as hi-res, preferably as dsd in multichannel, and skip the downloads.

I visited HRAudio.net and am not convinced it will deliver for me what sa-cd.net did in the past.

On your second point first... of course not as we will not be able to share opinions on music choices.

Your main point is one of timing, for now there is a vibrant classical market for SACD supported by many world leading orchestras and ensemble. As long as their interest is maintained and the small labels can keep going there is no reason to doubt that this niche will continue as indeed has analogue vinyl throughout the digital age.

I do not believe that streaming is the future of music, there is space and time for something much better to emerge that is not so demanding and limited by data transmission and so manifestly dishonest and unfair to consumers.

Streaming does have its limitations. Even when you use a paid streaming service, albums do come and go. Which makes owning an album on SACD or DSD Download a much better deal since you can always play exactly what you want, when you want it. That's not always the case with streaming services.... :)

If you own it you stay in control, absolutely.
