I won the signed album of Johannes Moser (Dvorak & Lalo: Cello Concertos)! :) I will get it soon (maybe tomorrow or couple of days later). The album has been reviewed with the highest ratings: for example it achieved the "Editor's Choice" Award (Gramophone).

Congratulations! This Dvorak is a great performance indeed.
The upcoming Mozart piano concerto KV 414 in the Remastered Classics series is a very charming concerto. I hope that Pentatone will release other concertos from the great Brendel/Marriner Mozart recordings.

It looks like there are still some quadraphonic recordings in the catalogue of Philips Classics. It would be great pleasure if PENTATONE will release Colin Davis's magnificent recording of Beethoven's "Missa Solemnis" on SACD (recorded in 1977). Or - even better - Berlioz's "Te Deum" (recorded in 1969).

... Still no work on the Schubert Quartets, Beethoven Concerto, and Bruch works (although I'd be surprised if I was wrong on the Bruch).

This does tend to confirm that the Remastered Classics will be essentially all Philips recordings for the next year.

The Schubert Quartets will most likely be the Quartetto Italiano (above), which would be great (as I haven't got the Rosamunde on SACD and what better than the QT Italiano ?--there is a conspicuous lack of new hi-res recordings of Schubert's quartets!)

You're right - it's obviously this, not sure how I missed it. Has there ever been an official RBCD release of the D87 quartet by QI? All I see is the last four.

Not yet, but due for release next month is the Quartetto Italiano's complete recordings in the Universal stable. This seems to include their early mono recordings.

The LP pictured of D87 and the Rosamunde was the first Schubert chamber music LP I ever bought; performances of great refinement without any sacrifice in passion.

Looks like you're right - CD 30 of the box will have No. 10 D87 and No. 14 D810. The only good track listing I could find is on the Decca site, under its catalog number (4788824).

I wonder how much more unreleased Philips stuff there is beyond the current release schedule. Although there were a number of duds in the RQR series, and not everything here is first-rate, they don't seem to be scraping the bottom of the barrel yet.
