No blu-ray players convert PCM to analogue.

They do if using the internal DACs, if using HDMI to a receiver then it converts PCM to analog. Otherwise you couldn't hear the music, since music is analog.

Raffells you typed in "bluray music" which gives audio/video music BluRays. Type-in "bluray audio only" which gives the 46 music audio-only titles available.

Can you please tell audio idiot that they still exist then.
A Blu ray is a Blu ray is a Blu ??? No never mind.

Thanks for explaining to him that pcm does go out on a blu ray player as analogue somewhere. Not as a he states in his confused post 275.
It will not be long before he starts on about the sun setting in the EAST.

As I said earlier everyone one this site can go and download the 24/96 Holst file.
Except you.

.Jeff check out this post at Computer Audiophile http://www.computeraudiophile.com/f14-music-analysis-objective-and-subjective/holst-orchestral-works-vol-1-chandros-hdtracks-10351/#post127157 it's about Holst: Orchestral Works Vol. 2 - Andrew Davis as a 24/96 download from Chandos' "The Classical Shop" and clearly shows a brickwall filter at 23kHz indicating a 24/48k recording advertised as "DSD recorded", I measured my SACD and got the same results.

YOU GOT THE SAME RESULTS MEANS WHAT...

I gave you enough hints re where this type of file could be achieved.

Meanwhile on the subject of checking FRAUDULENT pcm files.Stereo or surround.

This may be of interest to certain people watching this sites thread.
Especially One German beginning with M?

It is one of 4 methods now easily identifiable.
Hence why we went over to the alternative graphs.(piccies)
Verifiable via scope measurements.A bit like impulses..?..

Im off now to Greece, still in Europe, to have that complicated link translated for Toms benefit,as he could not understand it.

You know of Tom, not wanting to post anything on this site about his involvement in DSD downloads etc. At fantastic prices

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm again.

Not quite. Digital signal must be converted to delta sigma before it can be amplified (you can't amplify PCM). Pure pcm to analog conversion doesn't exist in blu-ray environment.

Get your facts straight dumbo. The industry switched over to delta sigma a long time ago.
Even the so-called extreme definition "PCM" recordings (DXD) are derived from delta sigma.

I have several Kansas city chorale recordings which have the Sound/mirror logo on them. These are surely DSD recordings? I.e. CHSA 5055, 5044, 5045, 5031, 5066. Can Couzens come up with a corrected list? There may be others.

The SACDs listed above were all recorded in .dff format (DSD) by SoundMirror. Additionally:

Lukas Foss: Griffelkin - Boston Modern Orchestra Project
Klezmer - Kleztory
John Corigliano: Symphony No. 2 - Turovsky
Gjeilo: Northern Lights - Bruffy
Life and Breath, Choral works by Rene Clausen - Bruffy

were also recorded in .dff format (DSD), and edited and mastered by SoundMirror. The individual Stereo and MCH .dff edit masters were delivered to Chandos to be authored by Chandos for SACD production and release.

Of these, I would call attention to Corigliano: Symphony No. 2, Suite from "The Red Violin"

John Corigliano: Symphony No. 2 - Turovsky

If you are a fan of the BSO Chamber Players releases, particularly the sonics, You will be very pleased with this SACD. It is one of the best recorded chamber orchestra works on SACD. Dave likes it :)

It certainly is. Makes me want to consider adding BR capability to my system.

Meanwhile, I've gotten very curious to get my hands on this Deneve Debussy recording...

You definitely should add BR. There are perhaps around 500 classical music BR disks, most in audio/video. And, the list is growing nicely. Unfortunately, there is no website and directory to them anywhere near as good as this one. Some provide repertoire not yet seen on SACD.

A small circle of friends and I have collected most of these disks. We are all high end audiophile geezers with much live concert experience. We think the audio plus video experience brings us much closer to the live concert experience, quibbles, and we think they are exceedingly minor ones, about sonic differences with SACD aside.

Do you clap after each performance?

I know! I'd do it for this Boulez set and the Abbado/Luzerne Mahlers alone, but, alas, I'm worse than old school and don't even have a telly (nor radio, really; just my laptop, a disc player/DAC, and two sizable speakers).

Not that I live in the backwoods, am an ideological purist, or would ever dream of joining the Luddites amongst us, but that's how it's turned out to date.

But maybe one day. Life is unpredictable and hopefully long.

Happy listening,

PT
