Performance:   Sonics:
This SACD stands absolutely on the TOP of reissues of old mastertapes.

I have never heard this interpretation ( i love it for more than 25 years) in an comparable sound. The sound is full, clear and you can listen to the music without being disturbed from an insufficient re-recording (remastered by Simon Gibson)

The old CD from the EMI classics series (2000) is no match, it sounds fragmentary and harsh in comparison (remastered by Andrew Walter).

You can hear that this is a recording from 1957, but it doesn`t matter!!! This music and interpretation takes you on a wonderful journey.

It is a Single Layer SACD with DSD-Mastering from Japan and it is worth every money, you would have to pay. I unfortunately cannot read the japanese liner notes to give more information.
